 Mitchell Island Terminal North Arm Transportation operates its own freight terminal on Mitchell Island. Using approximately two acres of paved yard, we can receive, store and load your freight onto our barges. The terminal is gated and security patrolled. The yard is equipped with four large forklifts and a 70 tonne crane. Our yard crew is very experienced with all manner of freight - packaged, bulk, dangerous goods, etc. We load our barges over a shore ramp with 70 ton capacity. We can receive oversized shipments day or night. Repair Yard For more than a decade North Arm has provided tug and barges repairs at our Kent Avenue location. Although we specialize in steel work, our 300 foot wall, heavy crane and complete welding and mechanical facilities allow us to handle a variety of repairs. We have completed numerous major projects, including the transformation of the 4300 tonne vessel VANISLE LINK. |
